Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) continued downward trend in Wednesday’s mid-session, weighed by the declines of First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Etisalat.
The general index retreated 0.71% or 29 points to reach 4,265.40 points by 12:20 pm UAE time.
The market saw trading of 74.6 million shares through 775 transactions, with turnover of AED 75.54 million.
The banks sector declined 1.24% as First Gulf Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank levelled down 2.7% and 2.53%, respectively.
The telecom sector retreated 0.31% after Etisalat decreased 0.3%.
On the flipside, the energy sector rose 2.12% as Dana Gas and TAQA added 4.15% and 2.27%, respectively.
Dana Gas was the value leader after generating AED 17.7 million after trading 35.4 million shares.
