Cairo – Mubasher: AL Ezz Dekhela Steel - Alexandria reported Sunday deeper losses in the second quarter and first half of the fiscal year 2016, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.
The company lost EGP 381.99 million ($43.3 million) in the second quarter, deeper 60% year-on-year from EGP 238.82 million ($27 million), the consolidated results revealed.
The consolidated results also showed the company logged EGP 555.6 million ($63 million) in the first half of 2016, compared with EGP 237.59 million ($27 million) for the year-ago period.
The standalone financials indicated that its second three-month losses reached EGP 193.35 million ($22 million), higher 358% from EGP 42.23 million ($4.8 million) for the prior-year period.
On a six-month basis, the unconsolidated losses widened by 193% year-on-year to EGP 490.72 ($55.6 million) from EGP 158.39 million ($17.9 million).
On last Wednesday, the stock quote was placed at EGP 198.44 with a 4.6 decline.
