Cairo – Mubasher: Investments by Alexandria National Refining & Petrochemicals Co. (ANRPC) in the NAPHTA fuel project is estimated at $233 million (EGP 4.23 billion), said CEO Khaled Khalifa.
Set to begin operations in mid-2018, the project, which will produce high octane-based fuel, aims to boost ANRPC’s economic and production capacity, he added in a report released by the Ministry of Petroleum.
The project will add around 850 tonnes of reformates to produce high octane-based fuel as well as quantities of butane gas and hydrogen, the top official added.
Currently under collaboration with Enppi as the general contractor and Petrojet, ANRPC’s new project is 78.5% complete, Khalifa revealed.
