Cairo – Mubasher: The Alexandria Port Authority (APA) will sign a contract with China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) for establishing a multi-purpose station in Alexandria's port, sources told Almal News.
Egypt’s Cabinet and the regulatory authorities have given the preliminary approval for executing the project through the Chinese company, sources added.
Meanwhile, both parties argued over the total cost of the project, which is approaching $100 million.
The sources suggested that this contract will be signed this year, as the APA has prepared several alternatives for implementing the project, in case it did not reach an agreement with CHEC.
