Mubasher: US oil inventories declined by 3.8 million barrels last week, according to the data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday.
The data shows that US crude oil stocks reached 467.1 million barrels, contrary to the expectations of a 2.7 million barrel increase.
Gasoline inventories increased by 959,000 barrels, while distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil grew by 2.3 million barrels.
