Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: UAE-based ARADA on Thursday announced that it had awarded Aljada project’s infrastructure design contract to Jacobs Engineering Group.
Forming a part of Aljada’s AED 1.2bn infrastructure package, the contract including managing all aspects of the project’s infrastructure delivery, which comprises roads, water, power, and drainage, the real estate developer said in a statement.
The construction of Aljada, whose sales' value equals AED 24 billion, is planned to begin in the first quarter of 2018 and to be completed by 2025, the company revealed.
“This is a significant milestone for Aljada, as we continue to work towards breaking ground on this megaproject by the end of the first quarter,” Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, ARADA’s chairman, commented.
The company gave no further information on the value of the contract.
The project will be delivered in phases starting in 2019
