ASE benchmark halts two-session gains

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) benchmark declined 0.19% to 2,135.71 points, losing 4.12 points at close.

Trading value rose to JOD10.7 million, against JOD6.7 million in Monday’s session. Meanwhile, trading volume reached 10.3 million shares over 4,100 transactions.

Sector-wise, services increased by 0.96%. Yet, the financial and industry sectors dropped by 0.59% and 0.39%, respectively.

Forty five shares out of 125 were on the rise, while 46 declined.

Arab Co. for Investment Projects headed the decliners as it lost 6.25% to settle at JOD 0.15. Also, Intermediate Petrochemicals Industries slipped by 5% to JOD 0.38. 

Meanwhile, the risers were topped by Jordan Pipes Manufacturing Co. which gained 4.76% to JOD1.1, followed by Al Tajamouat for Catering and Housing Co as it increased +4.56% to JOD0.45.
