ASE benchmark runs bullish, ends Tuesday up 0.36%


Mubasher:  Amman Stock Exchange finished the first trading session in March on a stronger note, powered by the performance of industrial and service sectors.

The main index closed higher 0.36% to 2,123.9 points.

The value of trading edged down to JOD 9.9 million from JOD 10.3 million, while the volume registered 10.7 million shares traded over 4,680 transactions.

ASE sectors gave a mixed performance today as the industrial and services rose by 1.78% and 0.57% respectively, while the financial sector solely inched down by 0.06%.

The best advancing stock was Union Tobacco and Cigarette Industries by 7.23%. Meanwhile, the worst decliners were headed by Jordan Telecom dropping 5.96%.

Yesterday, the main index inched up 0.29 point or 0.01% to 2,116.25 points.
