ASE close in red; reverses three-session hike

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange benchmark ended Monday’s session on a lower note, dropping 0.49% or 10.46 points to 2,136.54 points. Thus, it snapped a three-session winning run.

Trading value also declined to JOD7.4 million from JOD10.9 million yesterday. Meanwhile, trading volume reached 8.2 million shares exchanged in 3,580 transactions.

All sectors suffered a drop, headed by financial (-0.5%), then services (-0.4%), and industrial (-0.2%) at last.

The main index was weighed by a decline of 42 companies out of 126 traded today, while 38 companies rose.

Bank Al Etihad was the worst decliner by 6.58% to JOD1.56. Further, Transport and Investment Barter slipped by 4.68% to JOD0.61.

On the positive front, Resources Company for Development and Investment  was performer (+6.66%), followed byJordanian for Developing and Financial Investment (+4.96%).
