Muasher: The main index of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Monday’s trading session in the red zone, as it slipped 0.08% or 1.72 points, and closed at the level of 2,142.5 points.
The main index was dragged down by blue chips as Arab Bank, Jopetrol, and Al Eqbal went down by 0.82%, 0.89%, and 0.35%.
The industrial sector lost 0.71% on the back if 5 stocks led by Union Tobacco, which led the decliners and dropped 3.2%, despite Jordanian pharmaceutical adding 4.83%.
On the other hand, the services sector gained 0.17% as JTEL grew 4.81%, while the financial sector levlled up by 0.05% on the back of 6 stocks.
Total traded volume increased to 6.39 million shares from to 4.96 million shares on Sunday, while turnovers registered JOD 6.58 million compared JOD 5.32 million.
