Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended the week’s first trading session in the red zone, as the main index slipped 0.16% or 3.44 points and closed at the level of 2,144.15 points.
The main index was dragged down by blue chip stocks, as Jopetrol slid 0.58% and was the most active in traded values with JOD 257,870, while Arab Bank, and Bank of Jordan declined by 0.49% and 0.35% respectively.
As for the sectors’ performance, the industrial sector decreased by 0.23% as Phosphate Mines edged down 0.89%, while Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries lost 1.53% and was today’s biggest decliner.
Similarly, the services sector went down by 0.16% as Royal Jordanian Airlines fell by 1.35%, while the financial sector slipped 0.1%.
Total traded volumes increased to 4.96 million shares compared to 4.8 million shares on Thursday, while turnovers declined to JOD 5.32 million from JOD 9.5 million.
