ASE closes Tuesday in red

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session losing 0.02% or 0.38 points, closing at the level of 2,080.99 points.

The main index was dragged down by some blue chips, as Al Eqbaal, Jordan Ahli Bank, and Arab International for Education and Investment decreased 1.68%, 0.85%, and 58% respectively.

The industrial sector was the only decliner today with 0.8%, despite Arab Aluminum Industry leading the session’s gainers with 5.26%.

The financial sector added 0.11%, while the services sector gained 0.06%.

Total traded volume decreased today to 5.5 million shares compared to 6.1 million shares on Monday.

Total turnover also shrunk to JOD 6.2 million from JOD 6.4 million on yesterday’s session.
