ASE closes Wednesday in red

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Wednesday’s trading session slipping 0.01% or 0.21 points closing at the level of 2,125.33 points.

Jopterol, Islamic bank of Jordan and Cairo Amman Bank levelled down 0.56%, 0.26%, and 0.52% respectively.

Meanwhile, Arab Bank, Bank of Jordan and Ahli Bank added 0.16%, 1.14%, and 1.69%.

As for the sectors performance, the industrial and the services sectors declined 0.41% and 0.3% respectively.

Phosphate Mines led the session’s decliners and dropped 5.59%, it also regesterdied the highest traded value at JOD 200,720.

Only the financial sector rose today by 0.21%, as International Cards led the gainers and surged 4.76%.

Total traded volume decreased to 6.2 million shares from 6.3 million on Tuesday, while turnover grew to JOD 7.15 million compared to JOD 6.6 million on last session.
