Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Wednesday’s trading session down for the fourth session in a row this week, losing 0.5% or 10.65 points, closing at 2120.03 points.
The banking sector declined on the back of leading stocks, with Housing Bank and Bank of Jordan losing 0.58% and 0.42% respectively, as well as Eqbal, and Arab Potash decreasing 2.83% and 4.53% respectively, with the later being today’s biggest loser.
The industrial sector declined 1.64%, despite that Union Tobacco lead today’s gainers as it added 7.39%.
Similarly the services sector slipped 0.24% with Philadelphia Int'l going down 2.29%, and Jopetrol being the most active stock in terms of traded volume at JOD 520,490 shares, while the financial sector levelled down 0.18%.
Total traded volume increased on Wednesday to 6.34 million shares from 6.2 million shares on Tuesday, and turnover also rose today to JOD 7.7 million compared to JOD 5.6 million in last session.
