ASE continues rallying for 9th day in row, rises 0.56%

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange’s main index opened the week in green, as it closed Sunday with a rise of 0.56% or 11.57 points to the level of 2,071.36 points.

Trading value declined to JOD 5.9 million versus JOD 7.3 million yesterday, and trading volume plummeted to 5.9 million shares exchanged in 3,260 trades.

ASE sectors rallied collectively, topped by services and industrial sectors with 0.84% and 0.42% respectively, and the financial came at least with 0.39%.

The index was supported by the rise in 36 shares, out of 122 companies, while 36 others closed down.

Jordan Telecom and Arab International Hotels topped the gainers after advancing 7.36% and 6.57% respectively, while Middle East Specialized Cables led the losers with a fall of 6.25%, followed by Al-tajamouat for Catering and Housing with a 5% decrease.

ASE benchmark index closed Thursday with a rise of 0.62% or 12.77 points to 2,059.79 points.
