Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session losing 0.27% or 5.75% closing at the level of 2,125.6 points.
The main index was dragged down by clue chip bank stocks, as Arab Bank, Bank of Jordan, and Cairo Amman Bank lost 0.97%, 1.5%, and 0.52%.
All the sectors saw a decline today. The financial sector went down 0.42%, as International Cards was the session’s biggest loser and dropped 4.55%, while Ahli Bank grew 0.85% and was the most active in traded volume with 302,670 shares.
The industrial sector slipped 0.06%, as Universal Modern Industries, Jordan Steel fell 2.4% and 2.33% respectively.
The services sector levelled down 0.04%, as Zarka Education and Arab International Hotels was down by 2.9% and 1.56%.
Total traded volume declined to 6.3 million shares from 6.5 million on Monday. Total turnover also decreased to JOD 6.6 million compared to JOD 7.7 million last session.
