ASE down Tuesday on blue chips

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the red zone, losing 0.3% or 6.35 points, closing at the level of 2108.94 points.

The main index declined on blue chips, as Arab bank lost 1.14% despite registering the session’s biggest trading value and volume with 187,820 shares traded at a turnover of JOD 1.14 million.

The industrial sector decreased 1.09%, as Union Tobacco led the session’s losers and dropped 6.5%.

Similarly, the services and the banking sector slipped 0.11% and 0.03% respectively, despite Jordan Commercial Bank leading today’s gainer with 2.85%.

Total traded volume increased to 10.64 million shares from 7.05 million shares yesterday, with a total turnover of JOD 11.8 million.
