Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session in red, as the main index lost 0.13% or 2.83 points and closed at the level of 2,170.51 points.
The main index was dragged down by blue chip stocks, as Jopetrol, Cairo Amman Bank, and Jordan Islamic Bank, went down by 0.28%, 1.06%, and 0.25% respectively.
The industrial sector declined by 0.86% as Arab Potash and Al Eqbal plumped 7.48%, while Universal Modern Industries lost 1.25%.
On the other hand, the services sector edged up 0.8% as Duty Free Shops, and JTEL grew 1.89% and 0.85%, while the financial sector added 0.04% as Amad Investment was the session’s top gainer and surged 3.44%, while Investbank gained 2.43%.
Total traded volumes increased to 6.78 million shares compared to 5.85 million shares on yesterday’s session, while values reached JOD 6.53 million up from JOD 6.03 million on Monday.
