ASE down for 5th session in row

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) slipped 0.04% or 0.85 points on Thursday, closing at 2,119.09 points.

The industrial sector leveled down 0.27%, with Phosphate Mines leading the session’s decliners with 7.33% after turning to losses in Q2-16, while Arab Potash was today’s top winner with a 5.25% rise.

Similarly the services sector inched down 0.06%, with Orange losing 2.72%, whilst Jopetrol edged up 0.84% and registered the highest turnover with JOD 1.71 million.

On the other hand, the financial sector was the only gainer with a rise of 0.06%, as Bank of Jordan and Ahli bank both added 0.85%.

A total of 10.8 million shares were traded today at a value of JOD 11.3 million through 4,238 transactions.
