ASE down for 6th session in a row

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) declined on Sunday, for the sixth consecutive session, losing 0.34% or 7.2 points and closing at 2,111.86 points.

The industrial sector led the decliners today by losing 1.33%, with Phosphate Mines and Eqbal falling 4.16% and 3.15% respectively.

The financial sector decreased 0.08%, dragged down by 6 stocks, with Cairo Amman Bank losing 0.54%.

Housing Bank also fell 0.21% and registered the highest turnover at JOD 709,670, while Al-Amal levelled down 1.4%, and was the most active in terms of trading volume with 206,770 shares.

Likewise, the services sector slipped 0.01%, with Jopetrol losing 0.55%.

A total of 6.08 million shares were traded today compared to 10.8 million on Thursday, while traded value declined to JOD 7.6 million from JOD 11.3 million in last session.
