ASE down for third session in a row

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) declined on Tuesday, for the third consecutive session, losing 0.23% or 4.91 points, closing at 2130.72 points.

The main index was dragged down by the leading stocks of the banking and industrial sectors, with Arab Bank and Cairo Amman Bank decreasing 0.48% and 0.53% respectively, While Eqbal, and Arab Potash lost 1.2% and 1.83% respectively.

The industrial sector declined 0.83%, with Phosphate Mines leading the session’s losers with 2.96%.

Similarly the services and the financial sectors slipped 0.23% and 0.01% respectively.

Jopetrol registered the highest traded value at JOD 499,880.

Total traded volume increased to 6.2 million shares from 6.06 million shares on Monday, while turnover decreased to JOD 5.6 million down from JOD 7.34 million last session.
