ASE ends Tuesday in red

Mubasher: The main index of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) slipped 0.05% or 1.06 points on Tuesday, closing at the level of 2,119.35 points.

The main index was affected by the decline in blue chip stocks, as Arab Bank, Jopetrol, and Cairo Amman Bank lost 0.56%, 0.54%, and 0.83% respectively.

As for the sectors performances, the services sector went down by 0.54% as JTEL dropped 3.33%.

The industrial sector decreased 0.35% as Arab Aluminum led the session’s decliners with 4.39%.

On the other hand, the financial sector went up by 0.25%, and was the only one to close in the green zone, as Bank of Jordan led the today's gainers and added 2.31%.

Total traded volume increased to 6.28 million shares compared to 3.4 million shares on Monday’s session, while turnover rose to JOD 11.04 million from JOD 7.1 million.
