Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the green zone, gaining 0.45% or 9.4 points, and closing at the level of 2,097.87 points
The main index rose on the back of the blue chip stocks, as Jopetrol, Bank of Jordan, and Al-Eqbal rose by 0.57%, 0.84%, and 0.71% respectively.
All the sectors were on a rise today, led by the industrial sector which added 0.95%, as Phosphate Mines, and Lafarge surged 6.5% and 4.96% respectively.
The services sector rose 0.35%, as National Shipping Lines was today’s biggest gainers with 7.4%, while Salam International Transport and Trading increased 2.85%.
Similarly, the financial sector edged up 0.3%, as United Financial Investments and AJIB added 5.1% and 1.22% respectively.
Total traded volume decreased to 5.3 million shares compared to 20.4 million shares on Tuesday.
Total turnover also went down to JOD 4.6 million from JOD 24.7 million in the last session.
