Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) maintained its positive performance in Wednesday’s trading session as the main index rose 0.29% or 6.23 points to 2,129.07 points.
Trading value edged up to JOD 7.9 million against JOD 7.3 million yesterday, while trading volume reached 9.5 million shares exchanged over 4,220 transactions.
Sectors’ leader today was the industrial with a rise of 0.57%, followed by the financial with a 0.42% growth.
Out of 126 companies, 54 advanced, while 30 ended lower.
The best gainers today were headed by “National Oil and Electricity Production from Oil Shale Co.” with a rise of 5% to JOD 0.42, then came Jordan Clothing Co. that increased 4.91% to JOD 0.64.
On the flipside, Resources Company for Development and Investment headed the decliners after losing 6.66% to JOD 0.14, followed by Intermediate Petrochemicals Industries with a slide of 5% to JOD 0.38.
Yesterday, the main index went up 0.68% to reach 2122.84 points.
