Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index fell 1.11% or 23.77 points to the level of 2,150.37 points on Thursday.
Turnover jumped to JOD 56.7 million from JOD 10.3 million yesterday. Trading volume reached 25.1 million shares exchanged through 5,220 trades.
The index’s main components fell collectively, topped by the services and industrial sectors with respective drops of 1.37% and 1.09%.
The index was negatively affected by the decreasing prices of 68 shares, out of 132 traded ones, while 28 others closed in green.
Union Tobacco and Cigarette Industries was the worst performing share after shrinking 7.47%, while Arab International Food Factories was the best performer by adding 7.44%.
The main index closed Wednesday with a rise of 0.22% or 4.63 points, reaching the level of 2,150.37 points.
