ASE index closes Tuesday lower 0.47%

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended mid-week trading session on a weaker note, losing yesterday’s positive track.

The benchmark dropped 10.06 points or 0.47% to 2,120.78 points.

Trading value declined to JOD6.1 million from JOD9.6 million. Likewise, trading volume decreased to 7.4 million shares traded over 3,430 transactions.

All sectors saw a slide today after the industrial, service, and financial sectors fell by 0.56%, 0.42%, and 0.35% respectively.

Out of 127 companies exchanged today, 55 went down and 34 moved up.

Tracking the stock movement, Al Quds Readymix was the best advancers by 4.76%. Meanwhile the negative note was respectively headed by Union Tobacco and Cigarette Industries (-6.28%), Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries (-4.9%), and National Oil and Electricity Production from Oil Shale (-4.76%).

Yesterday, the main index finished the session higher by 0.14% to 2,130.84 points,
