ASE main index closes in positive territory; 0.35% up

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) benchmark index closed Monday with a growth of 0.35% or 7.17 points, reaching the level of 2,030.03 points.

Trading value dropped to JOD 3.9 million, compared to JOD 6 million reached yesterday. Trading volume also slipped to 6.7 million shares exchanged through 2,700 trades.

ASE sectors increased collectively, as services went up 0.62%, followed by the financial and industrial sectors with an increase of 0.26% and 0.16%, respectively.

The increasing prices of 43 shares, out of 110, supported the index to rise, while 32 others moved down.

Arab Company for Investment Projects and South Electronics topped the gainers with a jump of 7.69% and 5.88% respectively. Meanwhile, Amad Investment and Real Estate Development led the losers with a drop of 6.72%, followed by Jordan Masaken for Land and Industrial Development as it moved 4.89% down.

The ASE’s main index closed yesterday 0.33% or 6.57 points higher to 2,022.86 points.
