ASE opens on a weaker note

Mubasher: Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) extended the bear run in the opening of the second day this week as the main index dropped 0.07% to 2,119.67 points.

At 10:45 Jordan time, trading value reached JOD3.1 million after three million shares were traded.

Today, 25 shares rose; 37 slipped; and 27 stayed at the previous rate.

The best advancer was United Financial Investments Co. that opened higher 1.84% to JOD1.66, followed by Al Amal Financial Investment Co. that inched up 1.06% to JOD0.95.

Meanwhile, the worst loser was Jordan Press Foundation that fell 4.2% to JOD0.91, and then came The Jordanian Pharmaceutical Manufacturing with a slide of 3.03% to JOD0.64.
