Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, as the main index gained 0.27% or 5.67 points, and closed at the level of 2,107.18 points.
The main index rose on the back of banks and blue chip stocks, as Jopetrol gained 1.15% and was the most active in traded volumes with 97,130 shares, while Cairo Amman Bank, Islamic Bank of Jordan, and Invest Bank added 2.19%, 0.26%, and 1.47% respectively.
As for the sectors performance, the services and financial sectors rose 0.74%, and 0.24% respectively.
On the other hand, the industrial sector lost 0.43%, as Phosphate Mines led the session’s decliners and dropped 3.16%, while Al Eqbal went down by 0.37% and registered the highest traded value with JOD 695,140, despite Arabian Steel Pipes Manufacturing leading today’s gainers and surging 3.7%.
Total traded volumes declined to 4.94 million shares from 5.9 million shares last session, total turnover also decreased to JOD 5.88 million compared to JOD 7.3 million on Monday.
