Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, as the main index edged up 0.9% or 1.93 points to the level of 2,144.39 points.
The main index rose on the back of blue chip stocks, as Arab Bank, Jopetrol, and Al Eqbal gained 0.16%, 0.59% and 0.16% respectively.
The industrial sector went up by 0.32%, as Union Tobacco led the session’s gainers and surged 7.18%, while Lafarage added 2.73%.
Similarly, the financial sector levelled up 0.14%, as Cairo Amman Bank, and Invest Bank increased by 2.68%, and 2.06% respectively, while Amad Investment led was today’s biggest decliner and dropped 3.84%.
On the other hand, the services sector declined by 0.22%, as National Shipping Lines and JTEL lost 2.04% and 1.76% respectively.
Total traded volumes went up to 7.8 million shares from 6.39 million shares on Monday. Turnovers also increased to JOD 15.4 million compared to JOD 6.58 million.
