Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchanges’ main index opened the week in green, as it advanced 1.67% or 35.05 points to 2,132.44 points at close.
Turnover rose to JOD 10.4 million from JOD 6.6 million on Thursday, and trading volume reached 8.8 million shares exchanged through 3,800 transactions.
The financial and services sectors rose by 1.98% and 1.42% respectively, while the industrial sector moved down by 0.18%.
The index was supported by the increasing prices of 59 traded shares, out of 126, while 35 others closed down.
Bank of Jordan was the best performing share as it grew 7.25%, whereas Al-Sharq Investments Projects topped losers with a decrease of 5%.
The benchmark index rose 0.03% or 0.54 point to 2,097.39 points on Thursday.
