Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index stayed at the green territory for the 11th consecutive day, as it closed Tuesday at 2,087.06 points after rising 0.33% or 6.86 points.
However, trading value dropped to JOD 6.7 million versus JOD 10.6 million yesterday, and trading volume slipped to 6.6 million shares exchanged through 3,960 trades.
The services and financial sectors led the green list with an increase of 0.8% and 0.22%, while the industrial sector fell alone by 0.15%.
The index was supported by the increasing prices of 57 shares, out of 124 traded today, while 29 others closed down.
Al-amal Financial Investments topped the risers after gaining 6.66%, followed by Salam International Transport and Trading as it ended 5% up. Meanwhile, the top losers were Arab International Hotels and Lafarge Cement as they declined by 5.92% and 3.07%, respectively.
The ASE’s main index closed Monday with a rise of 0.42% or 8.77 points at the level of 2,080.13 points.
