ASE’s main index shrinks 0.03%

Mubasher: The Amman Stock Exchange’s (ASE) main index continued declining on Monday, as it fell 0.03% or 0.64 point to the level of 2,084.86 points.

Trading value came to JOD 13.7 million through 3,700 trades on 14.5 million shares.

The services sector shed 0.24%, while the industrial and financial sectors rose by 0.12% and 0.04%, respectively.

The index was affected by the decreasing prices of 44 shares, out of 131, although 48 others closed higher.

Middle East Specialised Cables Company topped losers as it ended 7.14% lower, followed by Resources Company for Development and Investment with a 6.67% decrease.

Meanwhile, Societe Generale De Banque headed the gainers with a rise of 7.00%, followed by Rum Group for Transportation and Tourism Investment with a 6.33% increase.

Yesterday, the benchmark index closed lower 0.14% or 2.84 points to the level of 2,085.5 points.
