Mubasher: The main index of the Amman Stock Exchange closed Wednesday at 2,098.93 points after falling 0.6% or 12.59 points.
Turnover dipped to JOD 7.4 million from JOD 9.3 million yesterday, trading volume reached 8.4 million shares exchanged through 4,450 trades.
The ndustrial, services and financial sectors were the day’s worst performers as they declined by 1.05%, 0.72% and 0.39%, respectively.
The index was affected by the decreasing prices of 60 shares, out of 119, while the other 25 closed higher.
Union Tobacco and Cigarette Industries topped losers with a decrease of 6.90%, while Resources Company for Development and Investment was the best performer with a growth of 6.25%.
The main index closed Tuesday with a drop of 0.42% or 8.75 points to 2,110.52 points.
