Mubasher: The income statements of Ahli United Bank – Kuwait (AUB Kuwait) reported a growth of 0.45% in profits during the third quarter of 2017 compared to the same period in the previous year.
AUB Kuwait’s earnings increased to KWD 13.55 million ($44.93 million) in Q3-17 compared to KWD 13.49 million ($44.73 million) in Q3-16, according to a bourse statement issued on Wednesday.
During the first nine months of 2017, the bank registered a profit of KWD 40.04 million which is 2.3% higher than KWD 39.13 million in the same period a year ago.
The increase in profits is attributed to higher operating profits, AUB Kuwait noted.
It is worth pinpointing that the bank’s profits in the first six months of 2017 rose by 3.3% to KWD 26.49 million compared to KWD 25.64 million in the same half of 2016.
At the stock level, AUB Kuwait started Wednesday’s session 1.9% lower at 405 fils.
