Mubasher: Ahli United Bank (AUB) clarified that there has not been any decision taking for converting the bank’s entity from being traditional to sharia-compliant.
The bank has disclosed this statement as a comment on a recent news story issued by a Kuwaiti newspaper, according to a bourse statement issued on Wednesday on Bahrain Bourse (BHB).
Sources have told Al Anba Newspaper that the conversion is a preliminary step prior to the merger between Kuwait Finance House (KFH) and AUB.
