Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Technology Partners (DTP), a regional systems integrator for the aviation industry, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Xovis, a people flow monitoring solutions provider, to improve the operations of Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).
The Xovis Passenger Tracking System (Xovis PTS) will enable Abu Dhabi Airports, the operator of Abu Dhabi International Airport, to enhance passenger flow and reduce waiting time in critical areas, according to a company statement released on Monday.
“This project has been key in meeting the growing challenge of balancing the increased volume of passengers and operational efficiency,” Abu Dhabi Airports’ acting CEO Abdul Majeed Al Khoori commented.
AUH serves 24 million passengers per annum and is expected to increase its annual passengers to 45 million in the next decade.
“DTP was in charge of the turnkey project management, including sensors installation, provision of infrastructure and integration between the Passenger Flow Management solution and different airport and airline’s operational systems,” Abdul Razzak Mikati said.
