Abu Dhabi Aviation likely to maintain growth in 2017

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Aviation is likely to see a growth in profits in 2017 and revenues similar to last year despite economic challenges, according to chairman Nader Al Hammadi said.

“We hope that 2017 will be a good year, yet it will not be without risks,” Al Hammadi added in a statement to Mubasher.

The company is likely you maintain the same level of growth at least, in line with its current strategy.

However, Al Hammadi did not determine an expected rate for growth.

The company’s profits reached AED 280.39 million ($76.3 million) in 2016, up 1.1% from AED 277.35 million ($75.5 million) in 2015.

Abu Dhabi Aviation finalised the establishment of a real estate firm, which will manage the airline’s lands and properties in the UAE and abroad.

“We do not buy new aircrafts unless there are new contracts, and this is part of our risk management policy,” the chairman noted.

The company will launch a helicopter training facility in Khalifa City within the coming two months.
