Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi International Airport has seen 18 million travellers during the first ten months of 2018, compared to 108.2 million in the prior-year period.
Passenger traffic at the airport registered 1.56 million travellers in October, according to Abu Dhabi Airports’ data.
The airport is preparing for a growing passenger traffic until the end of the year on the back of the events hosted by the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom, along with national occasions and feasts.
The number of travellers through the UAE’s airports stood at 79.1 million during the ten-month period ended October, according to official statistics.
From January to October, Abu Dhabi International Airport topped its peers in the GCC nation in terms of passenger traffic, followed by Sharjah International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport with 8.9 million and 722,400 travellers, respectively.
