Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Ports will start developing and upgrading the terminals of Fujairah next June within the framework of the company’s 35-year full-privilege right to operate and develop the infrastructure of Fujairah’s port and terminals.
The development duration will be completed in June 2020 over a kilometre-land, general manager of Fujairah Terminals Ahmad Al Mutawa told Al-Ittihad newspaper.
The work will be implemented over two phases, equivalent to three cranes per each phase, he highlighted.
The company plans to boost the capacity of the terminals, which record 240,000 containers a year now, to 1.5 million containers by mid-2019.
