Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Executive Council has approved a new resolution to exempt all new economic licences issued in the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom from all local fees for two years.
The fee exemption for new licenses will come into force as of 1 December, state-run agency WAM said.
This resolution will cover all commercial activities in the emirate and the city’s free zones.
Moreover, the council has agreed upon another resolution regarding exempting and reducing the fees of 98 basic services charged by the Abu Dhabi municipalities on the private sector.
The new resolutions are part of the Abu Dhabi Government Accelerators Programme, Ghadan 21.
It cancels fees of 75 basic services provided by Abu Dhabi municipalities and reduces the fees of 23 services by 10% to 50%.
The programme targets enhancing the business, investment, societal, knowledge innovation, and lifestyle competitiveness of Abu Dhabi.
On the other hand, the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry revealed that it will exempt corporations and companies from membership fees for two years.
