Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport grew in the first half of fiscal 2016 by 6.6% year-on-year, according to Abu Dhabi Airports.
The total number of travellers neared 11.5 million in the first six months of 2016, compared to about 11.11 million passengers travelled through the airport in the same period of 2015.
“January and March have been the busiest period for Abu Dhabi International Airport in the first half of the year, with passenger traffic crossing two million in both of these months,” Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, acting CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, said.
“We are encouraged by the figures from the six months of 2016, which demonstrate continued growth year-on-year,” he added.
