Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Carlyle Group, the US equity firm in which Mubadala Development Company owns a 7.5% stake, has agreed to sell its 61% stake in Taiwan's Eastern Broadcasting Corp (EBC) to Hollywood filmmaker Dan Mintz, according to a statement.
In December 2012, Mubadala agreed to pay $500 billion for the group to increase its stake.
Carlyle has investments valued at $97.9 billion worldwide in fields such as financial services, healthcare and real estate.
