UAE - Mubasher: RIZEK, an Abu Dhabi-based startup providing on-demand services, has raised $3.5 million through one of the MENA's largest seed funding rounds, according to Zawya.
Raising its capital to AED 5 million through the funding round, the tech startup plans to boost the region's gig economy and create more jobs that allow workers to earn service-based income through the portal.
Several strategic investors participated in the funding round, including Abu Dhabi Investment Office (Adio) and E-tech investments.
Founded as a part of Hub71, an accelerator in the Abu Dhabi Global Market, RIZEK raised $1.5 million seed funding in September 2019.
The founder and chief executive of RIZEK, Abdallah Abu-Sheikh, said: "RIZEK believes that the region needs an inclusive platform where customers can view all their options before commissioning the services."
