Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) sagged on Tuesday, extending a bear run to the third successive day, dragged lower by real estate, energy and telecoms stocks, mainly Dana Gas, amid thin trading activity.
The main index lost 0.75% or 31.91 points to close at 4,218.47 points.
The real estate sector fell by 1.93% after Aldar Properties went down by 2.10%.
Trading activity lost momentum compared with Monday, as traded volume retreated to 77.88 million shares from 112.83 million shares and turnover decreased to AED 222 million from AED 271.8 million.
The energy sector shed 1.9% due to Dana Gas that lost 2.38%. The telecoms sector sagged 1.26% due to Etisalat that ended lower but topped most actives with a traded value reaching AED 97 million.
The banks sector was 0.43% lower after FGB and ADCB lost 0.41% and 0.32%, in a row. Meanwhile, NBAD and ADIB rose by 1.18% and 0.5%, respectively.
Analysts told Mubasher earlier that the UAE markets would see a ‘corrective’ rebound in the coming period following the recent losses.
