Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose this week backed by leading sectors mainly energy and real estate.
The main index rose by 2.25% - the biggest weekly gains in more than three months – as it added 93.44% to end at 4,241.73 points.
The UAE stock markets will be closed tomorrow on celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday.
Average daily turnover rose to AED 178.25 million, while average daily volume increased to 142.628 million.
The energy sector ended the week 6.17% higher, after Dana Gas jumped by 8.9% to AED 0.49. Meanwhile, Taqa stock shed 4.35%.
The real estate sector rose by 2.76% backed by Eshraq stock that soared by 7.84%.
The telecom sector gained 1.58% powered by Etisalat.
The banks sector rose by 1.31% after ADCB jumped by 6.54%, FGB (+3.67%) and NBAD (+1.28%).
