Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Inflation in the emirate of Abu Dhabi fell 2.1% in November, hitting the lowest level in 11 months, encouraged by a drop in fuel and housing prices.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the UAE’s capital and biggest sheikhdom reached 3.5% during the period between January and November, compared to the same period the year before.
In November, Abu Dhabi’s CPI recorded 110.6%, against 111% in October, according to a report released by Statistics Centre of Abu Dhabi (SCAD) on Wednesday.
The decrease in the emirate’s CPI was attributed to lower prices of the housing, electricity and water and fuel segments, which went down 3.7%.
