Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi’s non-oil foreign trade rose 5.2% year-on-year in the first nine months, reaching AED 122.2 billion, compared to AED 116.1 billion, Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi’s (SCAD) figures showed.
The growth of non-oil trade was attributed to a 1.9% increase in re-exporting, reaching AED 18.4 billion from January to September, SCAD added.
Year-on-year, exports’ value jumped 17.8%, to AED 18.4 billion, from AED 15.6 million.
The Emirati body further indicated that imports levelled up 1.1%, logging AED 85.5 billion from in the nine-month period this year, compared to AED 84.5 billion in the corresponding months last year.
