Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Passenger traffic in Abu Dhabi International Airport rose nearly 15.8% in November compared to the same period last year, showed a report.
Approximately 1.78 million passengers passed through the airport last month, compared to 1.53 million in November last year.
The increase in passenger traffic came after Etihad Airways boosted its capacity to London. The use of the Airbus A380 aircraft has lifted capacity between Abu Dhabi and the UK capital by 53%, Abu Dhabi Airports said on Sunday.
In the first 11 months of this year, about 21.7 million passengers passed through the airport, up 17.4% from 18 million in the year earlier period.
Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said that the number of seats available on flights between Abu Dhabi and the UK jumped 53.1% over the past year.
