UAE – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) has welcomed the first flight from Saudi Arabia’s new King Abdulaziz International Airport, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
On Saturday, the Airbus A320 flight, operated by Saudia, landed in AUH at 6:17 pm, UAE time.
"It has been our pleasure to welcome this flight from the new King Abdulaziz International Airport. The new airport in Jeddah is both an impressive engineering feat and a breath-taking piece of architecture,” Abu Dhabi Airports’ CEO, Bryan Thompson, said.
Soft-launched in 2019, the new King Abdulaziz International Airport will transport 30 million passengers annually.
